pencil drawings as well as color paintings, and a writer art. He lives in Detroit and is one of the most sought after artists by galleries and art collectors around the world. We could describe him as an artist-reporter-graffiti.
His art is based on his own travels, as for him to be inspired and to collect those images that would excite his creative imagination and be the creation of each new project, he travels thousands of kilometers by train or any other means of transportation, a wandering adventurer as he has been characterized. One summertime he traveled over 2500 road miles around 20 countries.
His graffiti works and paintings are distinguished for their observational detail, for their simplicity, and the depictions of people’s everyday life, while many of these are commentaries on the current conditions of life of people who inspire the artist Pat Perry, from his travels around the world. Images of people in restaurants, music festivals, and dangerous nature climbing in Alaska are only some of his artistic inspiration.
He has exhibited his work in many galleries in America, Europe and other countries of the world, while many magazines and sites from around the world have presented his work.
"Art is an escape in a way, but it’s also the outcome of many of my most personal, complicated, and contemplative thoughts, especially recently. That’s not to say that these thoughts are to be translated to the viewer, but it’s inescapable that many times the tone of one’s art reflects the tone of their thoughts. I do feel that drawing is meditative in the sense that it’s part of my routine and I need it to stay sane. I really have a ton of fun making art..." As he says in an interview on Huffington post which you can see in full here.
