My pasion is the outdoor fashion portrait. In my world i like surrounding the models whit a landscape which transport the observer to the magic of a surprising image I want the light to dress the model and i wish that every flash may tell a diferent story

Xavi Moya has been inmersed in the world of photography for over 30 years. His passion began thanks to his father and to a good friend of him. He carried out his project when he was 20 years old after winning an important reward of a very accepted laboratory of Barcelona. From that moment and after wandering for several universities he decided to turn his hobbie in to a profession.

He is an autodidact. He started his way when the world of photography was made by films, chemicals …. Late nineties, when first digital cameras and computers with edition programs appeard, he found his vocation and he specializes in fashion and portrait. He often combines this practice with landscape photography. As he says this should be “a relaxing therapy to avoid the stress caused by fashion shooting”.

His genteel and elegant work, provided of an original style, was soon published in diferent national and international fashion and landscape magazines.

He is a passionate of his job and maybe because he's an autodidact as well i enjoyes teaching in several academies of Barcelona.

The the viewer is transported to the Xavi Moya's vision of the world around us. He usually combines perfectly both specialities (fashion portrait and landscaping) by doing outdoors photography. He surrounds the models with a landscape that takes to the viewer to a surprising magic image. He likes to play with the light to dressing the model. He explains a diferent story with every picture.

Since 3 years ago he codirects HACIDMAG, online online magazine of fashion and artistic trends with the aim of give oportunities to other people. Even that, it includes editorials of important international photographers, as inspiration for others who are begining in the world of fashion photography.

Xavi Moya inmerso en el mundo de la fotografía cuenta con una dilatada experiencia avalada por un recorrido de más de 30 años

Su afición surge gracias a su padre y a un amigo de la infancia que le transmiten la pasión por este arte.

Se consolida profesionalmente cuando a los 20 años gana un prestigioso premio de fotografía de un reconocido laboratorio fotográfico de Barcelona. Desde entonces, y después de deambular por diferentes universidades, decide abandonar el entorno académico para convertir su pasión en profesión.

Autodidacta se inicia en el mundo fotográfico, en una época de películas y químicos, y no será hasta los años 90, con la aparición de las primeras cámaras digitales y programas de edición, que encuentra el camino que realmente le gusta, especializándose en moda y retrato. No obstante, de vez en cuando se escapa a fotografiar paisajes porque, como él dice es una terapia de relajación para evitar el estrés que producen las producciones de moda.

Su fotografía refinada y elegante está dotada de un estilo propio característico. Pronto publica en diferentes revistas de moda y paisaje, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.

Una pasión por la fotografía que le acaba llevando, quizás por aquello de ser autodidacta, a la docencia, actividad que ejerce en diferentes escuelas de Barcelona.

Su fotografía transporta al espectador a su visión de un mundo muy personal, donde a menudo se combinan sus dos es

pecialidades, moda y paisaje. Rodea a las modelos de un entorno que traslada al público a la magia de una imagen sorprendente. Le gusta que la luz vista a la modelo, y que cada imagen explique una historia diferente. Pero tal como él confiesa: “me gusta soñar despierto!

Desde hace tres años codirige HACID MAG, revista de moda y tendencias artísticas online. Magazine de gran calidad que cuenta con las publicaciones de reconocidos fotógrafos nacionales e internacionales, pero que al mismo tiempo da laoportunidad de publicar y ser fuente de inspiración para aquellos que se inician en el mundo de la fotografía de moda.
