Ryo Kato was born in Nimi of Okayama, in Japan, but he lives and works in Berlin. He has studied painting and drawing in high school of Okayama.
After a nine months stay in Paris, he emigrated to Berlin and since then lives there. He has studied at the Berlin academy next to Professor Wolfgang Petrick and has done his Master, next to Professor Daniel Richter.
Although his nature art paintings embody the concept of abstraction simultaneously they represent modern life concerns, with poetic sensibility and of vivid colors, clear and hidden patterns. People, especially man among nature, is the dominant theme in his paintings. He has participated in many international exhibitions and his paintings have won international awards and are hosted in world galleries.
