Patrick Broderick is a photographer based in Cayman Islands
Patrick’s 30-year career as a professional photographer has allowed
him to work in all areas of photography ranging from portraiture to architecture. His passion has always stemmed from his intrigue of people and their lifestyles. This sincere intrigue has gifted him with an ability to capture unique moments of people’s interaction with each other and with their environment. With a warm, friendly out-going personality, Patrick is at ease amongst any group of people of any age. His charm and sense of humor almost spontaneously puts everyone on ease with him, and even with each other, for those groups & families that are just newly acquainted for a special occasion. He has a keen intuitive sense of relationship dynamics and people’s personalities, so he very quickly fits in and is able to assess and circumvent even strained or sensitive situations. Patrick’s experience and confidence in his movements and timing makes his presence unobtrusive and his shooting time highly productive. Whether shooting for a special event, a couple celebrating an engagement, wedding or honeymoon, a family of many ages, a teenage girl coming of age or a lady finally appreciating her age, Patrick will take the time to get to know the personalities, circumstances and portrait expectations of his clients, customizing his services for each client. Patrick values the images that will ultimately result from his photography, appreciating that the photos are treasured for many years to come, but he also truly believes that the time spent shooting should be an equally enjoyable and memorable experience; this philosophy endears him to his clients who so often become friends.
He has received several regional and international awards including the Cayman National Cultural Foundation’s Artistic Achievement Award, the Jamaica Festival of Arts Kodak Award, The New Approach Competition BJP/ Fuji Professional Award (Europe). He has also earned international accreditation as a Certified Professional Photographer by the Professional Photographers of America (US)
