time artists and she was taught at an early age to draw by her mother and quickly it became a
passion. She was constantly drawing or doodling and took an interest in fashion illustration and designing her own clothing in High school. She continued to draw and take courses in drawing, sculpture and painting at the local community college. Laurie then worked and waited 10 years to go back to get her degree at the San Francisco Art Institute where she earned an honors studio spot and her BFA in painting.
Laurie is exhibiting around the world and runs a small Hybrid gallery collective called Red Raven Gallery in her adopted home town on the Northwest Olympic Peninsula, where she can be found helping other artists find their niche.
