St. George
Journey from the Seven Seas
And the witch of Thessaloniki
Kept you as hers
She found love
She chose the right moment
And took her share
Next to you as I grew older
So many times I admired
The light of your heart
The pride in your eyes
The smell of our embrace
Your tenderness
Who walks down the road?
With a rain cloud on their shoulder?
St. George who returns injured
In the 40’s from the mountains of Albania
Up there in the stars?
Who is it who holds the full moon in their hands?
St. George lights my every night
His light succeeds over all
You always fought time
And you had a treasure of a wife
And you could bear to steer
And if everything goes wrong in life
(always changing in life)
I hear your heavy steps
On the floor of my memory
Who walks down the road?
With a rain cloud on their shoulder?
St. George who returns injured
In the 40’s from the mountains of Albania
Up there in the stars?
Who is it who holds the full moon in their hands?
St. George lights my every night
His light succeeds over all
You always fought time
