in the world. He has redefined the art of underwater photography, shooting everything ranging from people, props and sets, to ocean life.
Ric’s photographic journey began with his passion for helping to conserve and save the waters of our planet. This led him to pursue his degree in Advertising and Undersea Photography at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.
While he is an experienced advertising and editorial photographer who prides himself on the relationships he has built with clients such as Shell Oil (JWT), MTV, McDonald's (Cossette), Wyeth (Grey), Bayer (BBDO), and Discovery Cove (DDB), Ric is committed to giving his own time and photos to causes that help preserve water. Some favorite organizations he has been involved with include: Heal the Bay, a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters, safe, healthy and clean; and Rocking the Boat, an on-water education program for kids from the Bronx that has direct focus on Bronx River habitat.
Keeping in mind his goal of creating photos that show innovations in light and movement, Ric reminds the viewer that water is not only comfort, but also that it is energy, strength and life.
